Abstract
Thanks to the joint effort of the German Cooperation Agency (GTZ), the Colombian Attorney General's Office, the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany, the Georg August Universität of Göttingen and the Temis Publishing House, the text under review on the crime of forced disappearance has been published, as its editor warns in the presentation, "although the criminal prosecution of this practice has been growing in recent years, the dogmatic problems (material and procedural) related to the typical construction of the figure have received little attention and are far from being resolved". With this work, which includes a comparative analysis of several countries that suffer or have suffered serious human rights violations, including Colombia, "the aim is to address these problems in greater depth and propose a model criminal definition that can serve as a basis for national codifications".
