Abstract

Criminal law in the States of the European Union is no longer a purely national matter, but is influenced by international conventions that have an impact on both substantive and procedural criminal law. The author shows how this European criminal law is linked to that of the European Union and examines the various forms of its Europeanization, all of which allows him to conclude that the times in which this system was considered a national matter have passed into history.
