Vol. 1 No. 2 (2026): Populism vs. Authoritarianism: A Critical and Alternative Review from Academia
This issue, entitled "Populism vs. Authoritarianism: A Critical and Alternative Review from Academia", brings together scholarly research and academic texts around two principal and relevant themes for academia. On the one hand, it addresses populism, its particularities, variants, and effects on democracies; and on the other, the threats to academic freedom in authoritarian countries, where independent production, university autonomy, and dissenting thought are systematically instrumentalized and silenced. Through articles, interviews, and reviews, the issue offers a reflective and alternative perspective on the challenges faced by democracies and academia in today’s world.
