Abstract

The text makes some conceptual clarifications on the institutes of immunities and procedural privileges, to demonstrate that they are phenomena in crisis; likewise, it examines the objective and subjective extension of the aforementioned immunities and privileges in the current context. It also discusses the causes of this expansion and the arguments put forward to defend it. At the end, it makes a brief allusion to the Colombian situation and draws some conclusions for discussion.
