Professional trajectories of Cuban independent journalists

Abstract

This dossier for Foro Cubano serves as a background for my book project on the new Cuban digital journalism and focuses specifically on the professional trajectories of Cuban independent journalists. The idea - similar to the one that inspires my series of interviews for Hypermedia Magazine, "Sons of Saturn" - is for each guest journalist (there are eight) to reflect on their career in journalism and try to identify the causes and consequences of the decision to become an independent journalist.- working outside the media institutions of the Cuban state.
