Abstract

In June 1980, Professor Ariel Hidalgo Guillén was dismissed from the faculty he was part of at the Pre-University Institute of Marianao. Professor Hidalgo taught the subject of History and was taking the first postgraduate course in Marxist-Leninist Philosophy at the Enrique José Varona Higher Pedagogical Institute (ISPEJV). The subject had been designed for teachers who, in the next courses, would teach that subject to students at the intermediate level of general education.
