Feminism in Cuba, a lost cause?

Abstract

Feminism in Cuba arrived in the 20th century and dates back to the creation of important feminist organizations that fought for women's rights. At the beginning, the women's suffragist movement in Cuba focused mainly on fighting for women's suffrage, with this struggle in 1912 the National Feminist Party was created in Havana, which was led by Amalia Mallén, in its agenda the party sought demands beyond the vote.
