Abstract

For many years, emigrants, scholars and foreigners have been astonished by the apparent monolithic character of the regime that governs Cuba. Dictatorships have fallen and been born all over the map, the Eastern European socialist bloc has been dissolved, governments of all colors have come and gone in the democracies of the world; but they, those who make up the leadership that holds power in Cuba and its "revolution", are still there.
