Resistance and repression in African countries
Abstract
Numerous countries on the African continent have been under the repression of authoritarian governments that can be identified according to Linz (2000), due to their pluralism and limited political participation, in addition to the absence of an effective legal system to guarantee the rights and guarantees of individuals and groups against the rulers (O'Donell, 1993). The presence of this type of government in power has brought economic crises, political repression, corruption and hundreds of violations of civil liberties and rights.
