Abstract

When the banners of unity manage to mobilize a people to the streets to demand, claim, protest or demonstrate that the strength of the collectivity is still alive, the accumulation of motivations and causes reach the depths of a broken political system. The exercise of social mobilization within the framework of a particular and spontaneous conjuncture is the clear demonstration that the people do not pass the political exercise in vain, in spite of the fact that sometimes they remain silent or distant. Beyond the voting exercise, the people carry out a constant review of the political exercise; they motivate it, they demand it, they require it. In 2021, the streets of Colombia were part of one of the most remembered episodes in the last decade, the social outbreak, which directly transformed the social and political landscape, and led to subsequent changes in the system, which were finally evidenced with the presidential elections in 2022.
