In this issue we present to you a select collection of articles, which seek to address the great economic, social and political challenges that Cuba faces in the coming years. At first, the impact of independent cinema in contemporary Cuba is examined. Then, the future of Cuba in the post-Castro era is studied. It continues with a reflection on the role that the State and the market should have in the island's economy. Afterwards, the impacts that the application of bureaucratic socialism has had in Cuba are analyzed. It is followed by a reflection on the use and impact of the Internet in the midst of the Cuban dictatorship. The issue ends with two interviews, with Jorge Duany and Michael Bustamante.
