To guarantee the publication of papers with the highest scientific quality, the Foro Cuba Journal is subdued to a review process by external and independent peers, with institutional affiliation different from that of the author or authors of the article. The evaluation is doubly anonymous or double-blind model, that means, that the authors do not know the identity of the evaluators and vice versa.
COPE guidance evaluators
Arbitration process. Once identified and contacted suitable pairs for the manuscript, it is sent anonymously to two evaluators who must give, within a maximum period of one month and in the evaluation format of the journal, an assessment on the quality of the document. In case of finding divergence of concepts or other factors that affect the normal arbitration process, the editor reserves the right to assign new evaluators in order to ensure the quality of the publication. The Editorial Committee will have discretion in the decision to publish a manuscript and, according to the evaluations received, they may define whether it is accepted or rejected, or if it requests a resubmission of the text. In the case of the re-sending of the document for corrections, the author has a maximum period of two weeks to send the corrected manuscript again.
In any case, the Editorial Committee will keep the author (s) informed in a timely manner.
Publication. Once the Editorial Committee verifies compliance with the recommendations of the peer evaluators made by the authors to the article and approves it for publication, it will be referred to the production process in which the revision and correction of style, editing, layout and publication are made, where modifications can be made that correspond to the editorial line of the magazine.
To guarantee the updating of the knowledge published in our magazine, as the articles are approved, they will be published in a preliminary version in the journal OJS (Open Journal System), prior to the correction of style and layout.
Withdrawal of an article. The author or authors must request in writing the withdrawal of their article from the editorial process, in a communication addressed to the editor of the magazine and with a copy to the director. The manuscript will be released together with the written response of the editor.
