Author Guidelines

Before submission remember that:

Vis Iuris receives articles permanently, which must be accompanied by the letter of presentation and assignment of art rights, which can be downloaded here. The sending address of its contributions is as follows: visiuris.sm@usa.edu.co, as an alternative can also use the web platform of the journal, where it will initially be registered, to later send the shipment in the following address: http://revistas.usergioarboleta.edu.co/index.php/visiuris/about

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • The submission has not been previously published nor has it been submitted for consideration by any other journal (or an explanation has been provided in the Editor's Comments).
  • Whenever possible, URLs are provided for references.
  • The text has a simple line spacing, a font size of 12 points, italics are used instead of underlining (except in URLs), and all illustrations, figures and tables are placed in the appropriate text places, instead of in the end.
  • The text meets the stylistic and bibliographic conditions included in Guidelines for the author, in About the journal.
  • In the case of sending the text to the peer evaluation section, the instructions included in Ensuring an anonymous evaluation are followed.
  • The send file is in Microsoft Word format

Investigation article

Document that presents, in a detailed manner, the original results of completed research projects. The structure generally used contains the following important sections: title, abstract, abstract, keywords, Keywords, introduction, methodology, results, discussion, conclusions (optional) and bibliographical references. Its maximum length is 8,000 words, at least 20 references, and between tables and figures should not be more than ten.

Reflection article

Document that presents research results completed from an analytical, interpretative or critical perspective of the author, on a specific topic, using original sources. Its structure is as follows: title, summary, abstract, keywords, keywords, introduction, methodology (may vary its name or not), results, discussion (can be united or only one) conclusions (optional) and bibliographical references. Its maximum length is 7,000 words and at least 15 references.

Review article

Document result of a finished research where the results of published or unpublished research are analyzed, systematized and integrated, on a field in science or technology, in order to account for the advances and development trends. It is structured as follows: title, summary, keywords, introduction, methodology, results, discussion, conclusions (optional) and bibliographical references. Its maximum length is 9,000 words and is characterized by a careful bibliographic review of at least 50 references.

Letters to the editor

critical, analytical or interpretative positions on the documents published in the journal, which in the opinion of the Editorial Committee constitute an important contribution to the discussion of the topic by the scientific community of reference. Its extension should not exceed 2,000 words.

Review or legal review

precise summary on books or legal text recently published. You can expose a constructive evaluation or criticism, which can be positive or negative. Its maximum length is 1.500 words

Vis Iuris journal adheres to the general provisions of the Habeas Data contained in the Statutory Law 1266 of 2008, regarding the handling of information contained in personal databases. The names and email addresses entered in this magazine will be used exclusively for the purposes stated by this magazine and will not be available for any other purpose or people
