Abstract

In this paper we will analyze ethnography as a methodological strategy within the framework of social research, highlighting the main contributions and requirements necessary for its proper development. Likewise, the epistemic virtues and methodological advantages that this type of approach to the social implies an hour to build interpretive models directly from human groups will be highlighted. Finally, the importance of this type of approach within the socio-legal studies of transitional justice is specified, assuming the centrality of the victims as an epistemic bet from which to evaluate the concrete scope of the transition, moving towards a transitional justice from below that give an account of the ways of life of human groups that experience such reconciliation and peace-building measures.
