Abstract

57 years ago the revolutionary regime introduced in Cuba the so-called "supply books", an instrument through which they tried to regulate the distribution of food to avoid hoarding access to high-consumption products. However, today, more than half a century later, the only thing that has been perpetuated with them is the shortage of the basic food basket and the hunger of Cuban society.
