Abstract

The corpus of Cuban cultural policy after the triumph of the Revolution has been defined mainly by three documents contained practically in one decade, the decade of the sixties. Even when in later decades, in the 1990s and after the 2000s, debates on the subject were generated, they were basically based on those documents and ratified them as the pillar on which they were based. The figures of the intellectual and the artist, as symbolic elements and cardinal agents of the cultural sphere, have been at the center of the debate and their evolution, together with the aforementioned texts, make up the trajectory of the process.
