Culture, propaganda and politics: the immanent trilogy
Abstract
The collapse of the socialist bloc was a moment of celebration for the world, although very brief, it was a period of unipolar expectation (Cardozo, 2021) that translated into the progressive end of the authoritarian narratives of the past era (Stalinist sovietism and its corollaries in Asia and the Caribbean), hence, the triumph of liberal democracy, free-market economy, and open society.
