From Mothers of the Plaza de Mayo to Ladies in White as a symbol of women's resistance

Abstract

Dressed in white, with clothes covered in pain, with scarves covering their anguish and in silence, mothers, wives, daughters, sisters and friends claim and protest from the heart and carrying in themselves, feelings that reflect nothing more than the legacies of dictatorships that had no respect for the human rights of their own people.
