Aging and emigration in Cuba: demographic transition and challenges

Abstract

The article relates the reality of the elderly, the emigration of younger people, and the deepening care crisis to the pandemic, highlighting that the quality of life and the right to a decent life are questionable in a country that has not created the necessary conditions for healthy aging.
