Abstract

As it happened with Dimas Castellanos in 1992, Omara Ruiz Urquiola would be separated from her position as a professor at the Institute of Design of Havana (ISDI) in 2019. But, the matter would not be as simple as saying that the contract there was ending, but rather that it was a ruse to produce her departure, changing her contract to become a teacher by hours, then declaring her unemployable and thus achieving a safe route to unemployment for ideological reasons.
