Covid-19 in dictatorship
Abstract
Covid-19 is the infectious disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, first identified on December 1, 2019, in the city of Wuhan, capital of Hubei province in China. On March 11, 2020, it was declared by WHO as a global pandemic, thus defined as a public health emergency of international concern (ESPII) (CNN, 2020). As of April 1, more than 859 929 cases have been reported in more than 200 countries and territories, resulting in more than 42 344 deaths and more than 178 364 cases of recovery (Worldometer, 2020).
