Abstract

Sport and politics may seem to be two aspects of human life that, at first glance, may appear to be very dissimilar or separate from each other, as they are considered to be alien or separate from each other. In contrast, what this paper seeks to demonstrate is that there is a very close relationship between politics and the practice of sports.
