Abstract

Carlos Caridad Montero, film director and screenwriter, personifies love in his works, with elements of humor and an incisive look at Venezuelan reality. Born in Maracaibo, Venezuela, and trained at the International Film and Television School of Cuba, Montero has taken his passion for cinema to the creation of works that not only entertain, but also expose the political and social situation of his country. Through Venezuelan short films and fiction pieces, he has elaborated stories that capture the complexity of daily life in real contexts.
