Abstract

On April 25 2024, Ángela Mariottiz, research assistant for the Cuba Program interviewed Carolina Jiménez Sandoval, who has held important positions protecting human rights at the international level. She is the president of the Washington Office on Latin America (WOLA), after a vast career as a researcher and human rights defender in Latin America. She was director of research at Amnesty International and participated in the migration program for Open Society's Latin America Program. The interview took place in the framework of her lecture at the Congress on Democracy and Human Rights held in February 2024.
