Regime of fear

Abstract

When I started writing, the first thought that came to my mind was to narrate the story as if he were a fictional character, to hide his identity and give him a braver name, with a more manly voice and a much larger build. Then, each letter died as I continued to write, for it was not my truth. That fear of being able to give myself a voice turned out to be the heart of this writing and one of my greatest political acts.
