Abstract

At a time of severe economic and social crisis in Cuba, low birth rates, the increase of the migratory diaspora and the precariousness in the provision of public services have had a negative impact on the welfare of the elderly. In this context, Cuido60, an independent observatory of aging, care and rights on the island, has been a reference in the research and visibility of the problems that affect and violate the rights of the elderly.
