Critical review from the Total Peace approach. The transforming role of women in peace building in Chocó
Abstract
The search for peace in Colombia has been going on for more than a decade, marked by institutional efforts, negotiation processes and social mobilization. However, this path has been marked by persistent violence that has left tens of thousands of people dead, millions displaced and entire communities fractured by the armed conflict. Despite the Peace Accord signed in 2016 with the FARC-EP, new forms of violence continue to affect especially historically marginalized territories, such as the department of Chocó.
