Interview with Yaxys Dallan Cires Dib
Abstract
Yaxys Cires Dib, Director of Strategy at the Cuban Human Rights Observatory and coordinator of Cuba Humanista, has a law degree and master's degrees in commercial law, international law, international relations, and political action. He also holds a postgraduate degree in Intelligence from the General Gutiérrez Mellado University Institute (Spain) and has studied the Rule of Law, Armed Forces, and Defense Policies at the William J. Perry Center for Hemispheric Defense Studies. Born in Pinar del Río in 1979, he has been actively involved in civic and religious initiatives in Cuba and has served as vice president of the Christian Democratic Organization of America from 2013 to 2016 and currently. He was interviewed by Sara Sánchez and Paula Cancino, students of Political Science and International Relations at Sergio Arboleda University and research assistants for the Cuba Program.
