Abstract

Last October 27, the Alberto Fernández - Cristina Fernández (no relation) ticket defeated the ruling party's candidacy of Mauricio Macri - Miguel Pichetto by 48.2% to 40.3%. Fernandez thus ratified her condition of favorite after the primary elections of August 11, where she had prevailed over Macri by more than 16 points - 49.5% to 32.9%.
