The revolutionary detective novel as an expression of Cold War normative politics

Abstract

The Sovietization of Cuban culture was particularly present in the Cold War period. Against this backdrop, the author approaches the detective novel as evidence of the prioritization of the reformist work of the Cuban state over literary production.
