Elizardo Sánchez Santa-Cruz: Ideological purge, persecution and defamatory campaign

Abstract

Since 1966, Elizardo Sánchez Santa-Cruz Pacheco was a member of the faculty of the Department of Philosophy, attached to the University of Havana (UH). He taught Philosophy and History of Philosophy. Professor Sanchez came from the civil service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MINREX), had been affiliated to the Socialist Youth and, later, to the Popular Socialist Party (PSP), prior to the revolutionary triumph.
