The law, the law and the plate on the table
Abstract
In the field of human rights, the right to life is directly associated with two other rights: the right to food and the right to health and well-being. In authoritarian and totalitarian systems, where international human rights instruments are no longer ratified, are systematically violated or are a dead letter, little can be expected in terms of respecting the dignity and primacy of the human person. The issue of food sovereignty and security, for its part, remains under the scrutiny of observers who monitor the quality of life through these fundamental indicators.
