Abstract

Since 2020, Cuba has been immersed in the biggest socioeconomic crisis in the last 30 years. The social connotations of this crisis have led to anti-government protests in July 2021 and a major migration crisis that has caused the departure of nearly half a million Cubans in just two years. However, another consequence of the economic crisis, and possibly the most critical, is the situation of food insecurity that the Cuban population is currently experiencing.
