The literary revolution and its tragic destiny
Abstract
The triumph of the Cuban Revolution (1959) limited all areas of human existence, including the artistic freedom of writers and the dissemination of their works. The writer is an intellectual and a literary artist whose mission is to investigate and symbolically represent the reality that surrounds him, taking into account his place in a given historical moment and social group. Indeed, the thoughts and attitudes of the writer are forged at the mercy of the world in which he lives.
