Amid disagreements and tensions, Trump's approach to Cuba
Abstract
Relations between Cuba and the United States do not present a favorable outlook after more than 60 years of conflict. Although the two states have had conflicts since the colonial era, the triumph of the Cuban Revolution in 1959 undoubtedly marked a break in relations, unleashing an ideological, economic, and political conflict, as mentioned by Suárez (2020) in his master's thesis entitled "The Cuban Thaw: Realism, Power Dynamics, and Security," in which he develops the normalization process during the Barack Obama administration.
