Abstract
On this occasion, Prof. Dr. José Luis Guzmán Dálbora, born in 1964 in Viña del Mar, Chile, is interviewed. He holds a degree in Social Juridical Sciences from the University of Chile. Currently, he is Deputy Director of the Research Center for Philosophy of Law and Criminal Law (CIFDE-UV) and President of the Criminal Law Department of the Law School of the Universidad de Valparaíso; he is a full professor of Criminal Law and Introduction to the Philosophy of Law and Morals at the same University. Among his studies and recognitions, he is a Specialist in Criminal Law and Criminology from the University of Rome, Italy; Doctor in Law from the Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia de Madrid, Spain. He also holds honorary doctorates from Universidad Nacional de San Agustín de Arequipa, Peru, Universidad José Mariátegui, Peru, and Universidad de Antofagasta. He was a fellow of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Italian Republic and of the Max Planck Institute for Foreign and International Criminal Law in Germany. He is President of the Institute of Criminal Sciences of Chile and worked as a professor of Criminal Law and Philosophy of Law at the University of Antofagasta. He has been visiting professor and guest researcher at the Doctorate in Comparative and European Legal Studies at the University of Trento in Italy. He is a member of the International Penal and Penitentiary Foundation. The interview was conducted under the guidance of
