Peer Review

Once the manuscript has been received through the OJS, the receipt is confirmed, and the review process begins.

If accepted by the Editorial Committee, the document is analysed by a plagiarism detection program to establish the level of originality of the writing.

If the document does not present any problems, it goes through a phase of anonymous peer review, who once received the manuscript must fill out an evaluation form within a maximum of three months. In case of divergence in the peer evaluations, the manuscript will be submitted to a third blind peer review, —increasing the evaluation period. In any case, the Committee will always keep the author(s) informed, respecting the appointed time.

According to the evaluations, the Editorial Committee will decide whether to publish the manuscript, to return it to the author for corrections, or to reject it definitively. Within eight days of receipt of the evaluation, the Committee will inform the author of the procedure to be followed.

In the case of accepting the document subject to corrections by the author, the author will have a maximum period of two weeks to send the corrected manuscript. Once the new version has been received, the Editorial Committee will verify, within two weeks, compliance with the recommendations in order to finally decide on its publication.

At that event, the document will be sent to the printer, who will have the right to introduce formal modifications in design, spelling and style necessary to adapt the text to publication standards.

In order to guarantee the updating of the knowledge published in our journal, as the articles are approved, they will be published in the OJS of the Journal in a preliminary version prior to the proofreading and layout. Only when we have all the articles for the complete issue of the Journal, it will go to print.

The withdrawal of an article will be requested by means of an official letter addressed to the editor and with a copy to the director of the Journal. The withdrawal will take place after the written response of the editor.
