Ethics

Ethical considerations: Civilizar: Ciencias Sociales y Humanas adheres to a code of ethics for editors, reviewers and authors, which is based on the parameters of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). The aim is to guarantee the scientific community that the Journal and its content promote integrity in the publication of research articles and their scientific quality.

The Journal does not accept conduct such as plagiarism and will verify, using specialised software, the level of originality of the manuscript. Information on unethical behaviour will be made in writing and will be accompanied by tangible, reliable and enough evidence to initiate an investigation for misconduct.

Unethical behaviour on the part of authors or reviewers of which they are aware or of which the journal is informed will be examined, in the first instance, by the Editor and Editorial Board of the Journal. Complaints about unethical behaviour on the part of the journal's editor or editorial committee should be reported to the CIIUSA.

Unethical behaviour that the editor considers to be minor may be dealt with between him and the authors without further consultation. In any case, authors should have the opportunity to respond to complaints of unethical behaviour. Serious unethical behaviour should be reported to the authors’ institutional affiliation entities or who support the research.
